"Do not allow yourself to be called "Father"...

Matthew 23:9  And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

This is one of many verses that have been purposely and maliciously misinterpreted over the centuries by modern-day Judaizers whose sole intent has been to destroy the true message and meaning of Scripture- primarily the New Testament.

It is obvious that Jesus meant that we as believers should not call anyone a "Father" (as in Father God) on earth.

But over the centuries, after the events of AD70, the Judaizers infiltrated the Church from its very beginning and have managed to convince the the Church that:

AD70 was not the judgment of the 12 tribes of Israel (ref. Matthew 19:28)

and

that the Church can call church heirarchy "Fathers".

Jesus warned those 1st century Christians of the "wolves in sheep's clothing" (who were also the false prophets and false teachers of that time). The "Judaizers" were the "wolves in sheep's clothing". They were the false prophets and the false teachers Jesus warned them about.

The Judaizers of the 1st century managed to deceive some of the unaware and naive Christians back then into believing their deceptions and lies.

The Judaizers were also deceptively involved during the establishment of the Church in Rome and the cannonization of the New Testament.

The "wolves in sheep's clothing" throughout history have been whittling away at the true meaning and true interpretation of the New Testament.

Their legacy continues to this very day. Their progeny continue to convince the Church that their lies and deceptions are the truth.

Luke 21:8  And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived...

Jesus was addressing those 1st century Christians and warning them about the appearance of  "wolves in sheep's clothing".

They appeared on the scene back then. They continued their attack during the establishment of the Church in Rome. And their progeny continue their attack to this very day.

Sorry folks, but we have been had.

The early Church and its "Fathers" were not "wise as serpents and harmless as doves". They were had.  They were deceived.

And we have been deceived.

The early Church "Fathers" were deceived into believing lies as truth and it has continued on like this to this very day.

Church "Fathers" is just one of a multitude of misinterpretations that are counted as truth in the Church.
